About the role
As a Waiter at Knowlix Sushi, you would be the face of the restaurant: guiding guests through the sushi menu, taking orders accurately, and making sure every table has a smooth, attentive dining experience from seating to the final check.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests, and present the menu
- Explain menu items, including ingredients and preparation, to help guests choose
- Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen
- Serve dishes and beverages, checking in with tables regularly during the meal
- Process payments and the bill at the end of the meal
- Clear and reset tables between seatings
- Keep the dining area clean, organized and well-stocked
- Communicate allergen and dietary information accurately to guests
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely, coordinated service
Requirements
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a similar front-of-house role, ideally in a restaurant
- Friendly, professional manner with strong communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and efficient during busy service periods
- Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and sushi is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable handling cash and card payments
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
- Fluent in German; basic English is a plus
